The Guernsey Contractors Assessment Scheme (GCSAS) is administered by Foresight Safety Ltd.
The assessment process is carried out online as a desktop exercise via the scheme website, this is backed up with an company interview to review the supplied information. This is carried out by reviewing the following;
- The companies safety policy
- Safety arrangements
- Records (training etc)
The above areas are reviewed using the PAS91 question set. The aim of PAS91 is to provide a common set of questions so that contractors, suppliers and service providers are asked questions that they are all familiar with.
By operating the scheme in this way there are no visits to your offices or work sites.
The assessment process is carried out by one of our qualified assessors, the scheme assessors take a practical approach and will take the size and scope of the organisation into consideration when undertaking the assessment.
On successful outcome to the assessment process your organisation gains the scheme accreditation and are approved and authorised to use the Guernsey Contractors Safety Assessment Scheme logo on the organisations letterheads and livery.
